How to choose flower seeds

Annual flowers - bloom in the year they are sown, from summer until the first frosts. Ideal for balconies and quickly filling flower beds. See annual flower seeds.

Biennial flowers and perennials - they develop a rosette of leaves in the first year and bloom from the second season, while perennials return every year. See biennial and perennial flower seeds.

For cut flowers - tall snapdragons, asters, delphiniums and sweet William last well in a vase.

When and how to sow

Annual flowers are sown for transplanting in March-April or directly into the ground after the last frosts. Biennial flowers are usually sown from May to July and planted in their permanent position in autumn. You will find detailed sowing dates on the packaging of each variety.
