Sphagnum Moss

Sphagnum moss is a natural, highly absorbent material. It retains moisture for a long time while remaining airy, making it suitable wherever roots need consistent moisture and access to air.

What to use Sphagnum moss for

Rooting — cuttings, air layers and plants without roots, such as monsteras and philodendrons.

Orchids — as an addition to bark or as a standalone growing medium for moisture-loving species.

Carnivorous plants — as a component of the growing medium for Venus flytraps, sundews and pitcher plants.

Poles and supports — for covering supports for climbing plants with aerial roots.

The moss is available in 100 g, 150 g, 500 g and 1 kg packages. Soak it in water and gently squeeze it out before use.

You can find other growing media in the growing media category.
