Coconut Fiber

Coconut fiber is a lightweight, airy and absorbent growing medium made from coconut husks. It retains water well while not compacting like peat, making it suitable for sowing seeds, rooting cuttings and mixing into soil.

What you will find in this category

Ready-to-use coconut fiber - in 5 l and 20 l bags, ready for sowing or mixing with soil.

Ready-to-use coconut chips - a coarser fraction for orchids and aroids, and for use as a drainage layer or mulch.

Bricks - compressed fiber (650 g for approx. 8 l, 4.5 kg for approx. 63 l) and chips (4.5 kg for approx. 50 l). They expand in volume after soaking in water.

How to prepare a brick

Place the brick in a large container and cover it with water. After several minutes, loosen the fiber by hand and wait until it has absorbed all the water. Squeeze out any excess water before use.

You can find other growing media and components in the growing media category.
