Plagron Seedbox – complete seed germination kit

Seedbox by Plagron is a ready-to-use starter kit for sowing seeds. Everything needed to safely germinate twelve plants is included in one box: a propagation tray with a transparent lid, twelve coconut germination cubes and a bottle of Plagron Seedbooster nutrient solution. Nothing else needs to be purchased – all you need are seeds and water.

The heart of the kit is Seedbooster, a nutrient solution developed to promote faster and stronger seed germination. The nutrients it contains support even, stable emergence of seedlings. The tray with its lid works like a mini greenhouse: it maintains humidity around the cubes, and slightly shifting the lid provides young plants with a supply of fresh air.

The kit is suitable for sowing vegetables, herbs, flowers and exotic plants, both for beginners and experienced gardeners who want a well-organised, repeatable way to produce transplants.

Use

Seedbox is used to germinate seeds and grow seedlings until they are ready to be transplanted into pots, growing medium or a growing system. Place the tray in a room with a temperature of 20–24°C, and after emergence move it to a bright location or place it under plant lighting.

Directions for use

  1. Pour half a bottle of Seedbooster (125 ml) and 125 ml of water into the tray, distributing the liquid evenly over the cubes.
  2. Using clean hands or tweezers, place the seeds 5 mm deep in the centre of the cubes.
  3. Put on the transparent lid so that it fits precisely between the two notches on the inside of the tray – the tray will then be completely closed.
  4. Place the tray in a room with a temperature of 20–24°C.
  5. After 4–7 days, the seeds begin to germinate. Remove the lid then and place it at a slight angle – four small openings will form, allowing fresh air to reach the seedlings.
  6. Provide the seedlings with sufficient light. When they reach the lid, remove it completely.
  7. When the roots begin to grow out beyond the cubes, the plants are ready for transplanting.
  8. Use the remaining half of the Seedbooster (125 ml) according to the instructions included with the kit.

Safety and storage

Store Seedbooster in its original, tightly closed bottle, upright, in a cool, dark place, protected from frost. Keep the kit out of reach of children and animals – the nutrient solution is not intended for consumption, and the small components of the kit are not toys. In case of contact with the eyes, rinse them with water. Wash and dry the tray and lid after sowing so they can be reused.
