Dosage and use
When: the manufacturer recommends using it from March to the end of September. In spring (March–April), apply a starter dose to lawns, beds and fruit trees; feed vegetables and potted plants every 4–6 weeks during the season, finishing in September so as not to stimulate growth before winter.
Rate: you will find the exact rate on the bag label. As a general guide for organic granules: approx. 50–100 g/m² on lawns, beds and vegetable gardens; 20–30 g (a handful) per shrub or larger pot; one tablespoon (approx. 10 g) per 15–20 cm pot.
Application: on lawns and beds, spread the granules evenly (preferably crosswise, in two directions) and lightly rake them in. Under trees and shrubs, apply within the area beneath the canopy and mix shallowly into the soil. In pots, spread over the surface of the growing medium and cover with a thin layer of soil, or mix in when repotting.
Watering: water thoroughly after each application—moisture activates the breakdown of the granules and the release of nutrients. On lawns, it is best to fertilize before forecast rain. Repeat fertilization every 4–6 weeks during the growing period.
