Description

9 × 9 × 13 cm production pots – deep containers for plants with long roots

Square 9 × 9 × 13 cm production pots are the taller version of the classic 9 × 9 cm pot. The additional depth makes a big difference for plants that develop a long taproot during their first few weeks: palms, cycads, strelitzias, and many trees and shrubs grown from seed. The root has room to grow downward instead of curling around the bottom of a shallow container.

The 9 × 9 cm base takes up exactly the same amount of space as a standard pot, so you gain extra depth without losing growing area. The pots fit 9 cm square pot trays, and the 0.75 l capacity allows you to grow seedlings for longer without transplanting.

Technical specifications

  • Top dimensions (external): 9 × 9 cm
  • Height: 13 cm
  • Bottom dimensions: 7 × 7 cm
  • Capacity: 0.75 l
  • Shape: square, slightly tapered sides (5°)
  • Base: profiled, 8 drainage holes (4 round and 4 side slots)
  • Colour: black
  • Manufacturer: Desch IPP (Poland)

Which plants are they suitable for?

  • palm and cycad seedlings after germination,
  • strelitzias, ornamental banana plants, and other exotic plants grown from seed,
  • seedlings of trees and shrubs with taproots,
  • plants that do not tolerate frequent transplanting well,
  • perennials and climbers with deep root systems.

Construction and drainage

The holes in the base drain excess water and improve aeration in the root zone, reducing the risk of overwatering young plants. The slightly tapered sides make it easier to remove the plant together with its entire root ball during transplanting, while empty pots nest inside one another and take up little storage space. After the season, simply wash them – they can be reused many times.

Available packs

Choose the quantity that matches the scale of your growing operation: 10 pcs, 50 pcs, 100 pcs, carton of 600 pcs, pallet of 9438 pcs. The larger the pack, the lower the price per pot. Cartons and pallets are the manufacturer's original packaging.

9 × 9 × 13 cm production pots are a good choice for anyone growing exotic plants from seed and wanting to give them the right start from their very first pot.
