The fruits are more slender than typical cucumbers for preserving, with dark green skin, light stripes and white warts, and retain an exceptionally vivid green colour after pickling.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eIts good health adds to its appeal: resistance to scab and high tolerance of downy mildew allow Borus to keep fruiting until September, when less resistant varieties have already withered.
