Supersweet varieties have an additional advantage: after harvest, they convert sugar into starch more slowly than standard sweet corn, so the cobs retain their flavor on the way from the garden bed to the pot.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe plants produce large cobs, evenly filled with kernels right to the tip.
